Nepal Squad Announced For T20 World Cup Qualifiers: Sandeep Lamichhane In, Shahab Alam Out

Big News for Nepali Cricket Fans, The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has officially announced the final 15-member Nepali team for the upcoming T20 World Cup Qualifiers. The squad, led by Captain Rohit Paudel, is set to compete in the crucial qualification tournament in Oman.

Sandeep Lamichhane Included Despite Recent Action

The most discussed inclusion in the squad is veteran spinner Sandeep Lamichhane. Sandeep, who recently faced disciplinary action from CAN after informing the team that he would not play just 45 minutes before the start of a T20 series against the West Indies in the UAE, has been named in the final roster.

However, all-rounder Shahab Alam, who was part of the recent UAE series against the West Indies, has been left out of the 15-member final squad by Head Coach Stuart Law.

Tournament Details

The T20 World Cup Qualifier will take place in Oman, and the tournament is scheduled to commence on October 8 (Ashoj 22). Nepal’s primary objective will be to secure a spot in the ICC T20 World Cup.
