Damaged Equipment and Service Outage

In December 19, 2024, a group of individuals damaged critical equipment at the Sarke Gad village BTS tower, including solar panels, VSAT devices, and earthing cables. The remote location of the towers means that repair work will take time, delaying the restoration of services. Nepal Telecom has apologized for the inconvenience caused to its customers and promised swift action to repair the damage.

Impact on Communication and Government Services

The damage to Nepal Telecom’s infrastructure has interrupted essential telecommunication services, affecting local communication and government services. The disruption has severely impacted the ability of residents to access communication services, and government operations that rely on the network have also been hindered.

Appeal for Public Cooperation and Respect for Property

Nepal Telecom has appealed to the public to avoid actions that damage public infrastructure and disrupt communication services. The company stressed the importance of respecting public property, which is crucial for the well-being of the community.

Commitment to Restore Services

While repair efforts are underway, Nepal Telecom assures the public that services will be restored as soon as possible. The company asked for patience and understanding from its customers as they worked to resolve the issue.
