Nepal Telecom Partners with Telenor and SK Telecom for International VoLTE Services

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has officially expanded its International VoLTE Roaming services to Denmark and South Korea. This enhancement allows Nepalese travelers to enjoy high-quality mobile services using their local NTC SIM cards while roaming in these countries.

The expansion follows successful agreements between Nepal Telecom and Telenor Denmark, as well as SK Telecom in South Korea.

Now Available in 8 Countries. With this latest update, NTC’s VoLTE roaming service is now operational in 8 countries. The service was already available in Canada, the USA, Australia, Luxembourg, Israel, and Taiwan-ROC.

To date, Nepal Telecom has partnered with 9 different service providers across these regions to ensure seamless connectivity for its users.

Key Features of VoLTE Roaming International Roaming allows users to access Voice, Data, and SMS services abroad just as they do in Nepal. The core advantage of VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) technology is the ability to make HD-quality voice calls over a 4G/LTE network, providing superior clarity compared to traditional roaming.

How to Activate VoLTE Service? To use this service, customers must have a VoLTE-compatible smartphone and an activated service on their SIM card.

Activation: Dial *444# and select the ‘Activate VoLTE’ option.

Check Compatibility: If the “HD” or “VoLTE” icon appears at the top of your mobile screen, your device is ready for the service.
