Nepal Telecom and Rastriya Banijya Bank have agreed to establish a digital banking service providing company. During the event held on National ICT Day in Kathmandu, the agreement was made to create a payment service provider public company.
For this, digital banking service provider company will be formed as a subsidiary of Nepal Telecom whose capital will be one billion NPR.
According to Telecom’s Managing Director Dilli Ram Adhikari, the companies registered under the Nepal Rastriya Bank will soon hit a significant change in the expansion of digital banking services.
Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Dilli Ram Adhikari and CEO of the Rastriya Banijya Bank, Kabiraj Adhikari signed on the MoU on behalf of their organizations.
After the service starts, Telecom customers will be able to deposit money in their mobile wallets from existing recharge centers; this technique will also be useful to transfer money, book tickets, paying utility bills such as Drinking Water, Electricity, Telephone and to transfer money as well.
