Nepal To Host Threat Con 2019, Nepal’s First Hacking Convention

THREAT CON 2019 is slated to take place on August 29-31 at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Durbarmarg. The two-day event will feature a workshop by Mario Heiderich, during which he will discuss the Offensive HTML, SVG, CSS and Other Browser-Evil. The workshop will be focusing on the basics of web security and attacks that may occur.

A private cybersecurity startup, Threat Nix Pvt. Ltd. is organizing the Threat CON in Nepal. Jim Manico, the founder of Manicode Security, will be presenting one of his excellent talks during the program. Other speakers include the likes of Georgia Weidman, Prashant Tilekar, Aniruddha Dallas, Vignesh, Yogesh Ojha, Andrew Smith, who belong to various cybersecurity and Digital Forensics firms from all around the world.

To attend the event, one must gather up a ticket from Threat CON 2019’s website. The price for a student is set at NRs. 2500, whereas other classes such as Standard, Corporate are higher at NRs. 3500 and NRs. 9000 respectively. The tickets for two workshops, namely,

THREAT CON is an attempt at providing an environment for security and hacker culture. It is a part of the series of annual international conventions related to security, managed by Threat Nix. The conference promises to be worthwhile for any person interested in cybersecurity and hacking.
