Nepal Chamber of Commerce Strengthens Bilateral Trade and Investment With Vietnam

The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) discussed with Her Excellency Madam Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to enhance bilateral investment and trade between Nepal and Vietnam.
The meeting, held in Kathmandu, focused on elevating private sector cooperation between the two nations to a new level.

The discussion was attended by key officials from the NCC, including President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, immediate past President Rajendra Malla, Senior Vice President Dipak Kumar Malhotra, and Women’s Chamber President Urmila Shrestha.
The meeting was also graced by the presence of Vietnam’s Honorary Consul and former NCC President Rajesh Kaji Shrestha.
This meeting, taking place on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam, is seen by the Chamber as a significant opportunity to begin a new chapter of trade, investment, and economic partnership.
The discussions covered crucial topics such as expanding trade access, creating an investment-friendly environment, promoting industries and businesses, and exploring possibilities for cooperation.
Her Excellency Vice President Xuan emphasized the necessity of close coordination between the private sectors of both countries to facilitate the flow of bilateral trade and investment. She also suggested that the Chamber’s representatives visit Vietnam to collaborate with the Vietnamese Chamber on potential investment sectors.
During the meeting, the NCC highlighted the immense potential for cooperation and partnership in areas such as agriculture, tourism, energy, education, and information technology.
The Chamber stressed the need to move forward with practical programs and expressed its commitment to strengthening the economic relationship between the two countries.
