Nepalese Migrant Workers to Get a 10% Reservation in the IPO Before Dashain

Nepalese workers who went for foreign employment with a work permit will get the primary share of reservation before Dashain.

According to the Nepal Securities Board, a 10 percent reservation will be ensured in the IPO for Nepalis who have obtained work permits before Dasain.

’10 percent reservation for foreign employment has been approved by the Council of Ministers. Now we are implementing it before Dasain,” Board Chairman Ramesh Kumar Hamal said. “We are coordinating with Rashtra Bank for digital KYC.”

He said that after the work of allocating the 10 percent quota to workers is completed, the process of bringing non-resident Nepalis to the secondary market will be carried forward.

Finance Minister Sharma issued the law to open the investment of non-resident Nepalese in the stock market.  And, now the workers will enjoy the benefits.
