Dayanidhi Sapkota, a distinguished Nepali engineer, businessman, and accomplished chef from Leicester, UK, was recently honored in London for his significant social contributions. The event, organized by South Asia Time, a prominent London-based online media outlet, took place on Saturday.

The ceremony saw Sapkota being recognized by Roshan Khanal, Deputy Head of the Nepali Embassy in the UK, and Dr. Surya Prasad Subedi, an International Law Professor. This accolade highlights Sapkota’s continuous efforts and philanthropic activities, particularly within the Nepali community.
Since his arrival in the UK on October 1, 2006, Sapkota has been an active member of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (#NRNA). His dedication to providing financial support during emergencies, natural disasters, and in the educational and health sectors in Nepal has garnered widespread appreciation.
Born in Baglung Kathekhola village, Bihunkot 5, Deurali, to parents Padmanath and Bhavi Sapkota, Dayanidhi’s journey began in Nepal. He completed his SLC at Amar Secondary School and pursued further education at Shankardev Campus in Kathmandu. In 1993, Sapkota moved to Germany, where he spent approximately 15 years before relocating to the UK.
In addition to his social work, Sapkota is a successful entrepreneur, running two Italian restaurants in Leicester. His expertise in Italian cuisine has made him a respected chef in the region.
