Nepali Congress central committee member Ajay Babu Shiwakoti has urged the party to introduce targeted programs for the Gen Z generation.

Speaking at the third provincial conference and training session of Nepali Congress Kathmandu Constituency No. 6 (A), he stressed the importance of engaging youth through digital platforms, new technology, and social media.
Gen Z Demands Dedicated Policy And Engagement
Shiwakoti emphasized that Generation Z is more active in the digital world than in traditional political spaces. He suggested that the party should bring forward exclusive policies and communication strategies aimed at this tech-savvy generation.
He also pointed out the need for long-term planning for Alpha Generation, the younger group following Gen Z. According to him, educational, inspirational, and leadership-building initiatives must be developed early for them.

During the training session titled “Effective Party Communication and the Responsible Use of Social Media,” Shiwakoti highlighted the changing nature of political communication. He said the party must train its members to become responsible communicators in both digital and physical spaces.
Shiwakoti stated, “Competition is not only on the streets but also on screens and in thoughts. We must win people’s trust using facts and evidence.”
He noted that social media, if used wisely, could serve as a powerful medium for spreading the party’s ideas and values. Therefore, he urged party members to become conscious, creative, and honest in all forms of communication.
