NIC ASIA Bank And NCHL Payment Partnership Enhances Nepal Digital Banking

NIC ASIA Bank and Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL) have entered into an agreement to allow tourists visiting Nepal from various countries around the world, who use the Alipay+ network, to make direct payments at NepalPay QR merchants.

Following this agreement, citizens from over 11 countries connected to the Alipay+ payment service providers can now make direct payments at merchants enabled with NepalPay QR through their local wallet or banking app, provided via NIC ASIA Bank.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Jayendra Rawal, Deputy CEO of NIC ASIA Bank, and Mr. Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, CEO of Nepal Clearing House Limited.

The Alipay+ network currently includes banks and payment providers from countries such as China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Thailand, South Korea, Italy, Macau, and Germany, among others. With this collaboration, merchants associated with NIC ASIA Bank can now easily accept payments from tourists coming from these countries through NepalPay QR.

This partnership between NIC ASIA Bank and NCHL also plays a vital role in promoting cross-border QR payments and offers seamless payment services for international tourists visiting Nepal.
