NIMB CBS Disaster Recovery Drill To Disrupt Digital Banking Services Temporarily

Nepal Investment Mega Bank has announced that it will carry out a Disaster Recovery Drill for its Core Banking System (CBS) as part of its regular IT security and continuity practices.

According to the official notice, the drill is scheduled for Asar 20, 2082 (Friday, July 4, 2025), and will take place from 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM — a total duration of 30 minutes.
During this period, the bank’s digital services will be temporarily unavailable. The affected services include:
Internet Banking
Mobile Banking
Debit/Credit Card Transactions
ATM Services
POS (Point-of-Sale) Transactions
Interbank Fund Transfers
The bank has issued this notice to inform all valued customers in advance and has requested their understanding regarding this temporary inconvenience.
Nepal Investment Mega Bank stated that the drill is essential to ensure system preparedness and data recovery capabilities in case of a real-time system failure or cyber emergency.
The bank assures that all services will resume immediately after the drill and that customer data and security remain its top priority.
