Required Documents for Opening

Proof of Nepali Origin/Status
Submit one of the following:
A valid Nepali Passport of a Nepali Citizen working abroad. Include a Valid VISA and/or Work Permit (excluding SAARC nations and ‘Baideshik Rozgari’).
OR, a valid NRN Card issued by the Government of Nepal or NRN Associations. Include a Valid Foreign Passport (or a Nepali Passport with a Valid VISA and/or Work Permit).
OR, proof of Nepali ancestry (e.g., Citizenship Certificate/Passport of parent/grandparent). Include documents proving current foreign nationality (e.g., Foreign Citizenship Certificates and/or Foreign Passport, excluding SAARC nations).
For Minor Accounts
Provide documents of the Parents/guardians (as above). Also, show documents proving the relationship of the minor.
Source of Income
Submit recent Salary Certificates (or Pay Slips). Provide Bank Account Statements (past 6 months). Or, submit Recent Tax Payment Certificates.

Visit any nearby NIMB branch. CSD staff will guide you. Fill out the Account Opening and Know Your Customer (KYC) forms.
