The hospital implemented a Norvic Hospital Salary Increase twice within a single fiscal year, leading to high staff excitement and job satisfaction.
This progressive move directly addresses ongoing concerns regarding compensation in the private healthcare sector. The salary adjustment applies specifically to nursing and paramedical employees who have completed their Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BN).

Two Hikes in One Fiscal Year
Norvic’s decision to increase salaries twice in quick succession showcases a strong commitment to its employees. The first increase took effect in Shrawan (July/August), followed closely by a second hike in Kartik (October/November).
Before the Shrawan increase, the minimum salary for graduate-level nurses and paramedics stood at Rs. 25,000. Following the management’s decision, the minimum wage was immediately raised to Rs. 30,000, offering immediate financial relief and recognition to the staff.
Following nationwide movements regarding healthcare wages, Norvic decided to further revise the compensation structure. In Kartik, the salary was again increased, setting the new minimum wage for the same category of staff at Rs. 37,000. This makes Norvic International Hospital a leading private sector employer in terms of staff remuneration.
Boosting Morale and Retaining Talent

Nursing Manager Sagun Bhandari shared her enthusiasm, confirming that Norvic now offers higher salaries than many other private hospitals in Nepal. The salary hike has also successfully mitigated staff turnover, a common challenge in the healthcare industry. Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Sarita Shrestha confirmed a noticeable decrease in the number of nursing and paramedical staff leaving the hospital.
Staff Nurse Tulasi Giri, who had been planning to resign after completing her two-and-a-half-year commitment to pursue further studies, decided to stay. She stated, “I thought about leaving for more studies, but with two continuous salary increments, and knowing that the pay here is now better than other places, I chose to remain working at Norvic.” Her decision highlights the effectiveness of the hospital’s policy in retaining experienced personnel.
Comprehensive Compensation Package
The Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, Sarita Shrestha, proudly asserts that Norvic’s nurses and paramedical staff receive the highest salaries among private hospitals nationwide. Beyond the base salary, Norvic actively provides additional incentives to its employees:
