Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2025 Player Auction Set For August 9 with 458 Nepalese Players Registered

The highly anticipated second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) is gearing up, with the player auction officially scheduled for August 9, 2025 (Shrawan 24).

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced a press release on Saturday, marking a significant step towards the upcoming tournament.
A total of 458 Nepalese cricket players have registered their names for the NPL 2025 auction. This strong turnout highlights the growing excitement and talent within Nepalese cricket. The registration window for players was open from July 12 to July 22, allowing a wide pool of athletes to put themselves forward for selection.
According to CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama, the comprehensive details of all registered players will be shared with the eight participating franchise teams.
These teams will then play a crucial role in shortlisting players based on the criteria established by CAN’s technical committee. Following this rigorous selection process, a final list of eligible players will be published, who will then go under the hammer at the auction.
