6th June 2025, Kathmandu
Kathmandu will soon become the center of Nepal’s digital dialogue as the Nepal Network Operators’ Group (npNOG) hosts its 11th internet technology workshop and conference.
npNOG 11 Conference 2025
Organized in collaboration with the Nepal Internet Exchange (NPIX), the event will run for six days starting from Asar 1 to 6 (June 15–20, 2025) at the Hyatt Centric Hotel, Kathmandu.
A Gathering of Network And Internet Experts
The conference will bring together internet service providers (ISPs), technical professionals, students, and international delegates. It is designed to support learning, technical training, and open discussion among Nepal’s digital infrastructure stakeholders.
Some of Nepal’s top ISPs—Nepal Telecom, Ncell, WorldLink, Subisu, Vianet, Websurfer, DishHome, and CGNet—will actively participate. Their involvement reflects the event’s importance for the development of the country’s internet services.
Program Structure: Three Key Segments
NP-NOG 11 is divided into three parts:
Four-day Workshop (Asar 1–4 / June 15–18):
This section focuses on hands-on training in network operations, internet routing, and system security.
One-day Tutorial (Asar 5 / June 19):
Designed to provide deep insights into specific topics, the tutorial day will feature expert-led sessions on emerging internet technologies.
One-day Conference (Asar 6 / June 20):
This final day will offer panel discussions, presentations, and technical talks. Industry experts, government officials, and academic leaders will discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in internet development.

Building Nepal’s Digital Future
Organizers believe NP-NOG 11 will have a direct impact on Nepal’s digital transformation. It is not only a training event but also a platform to build networks, form partnerships, and improve digital services.
The goal is to help internet professionals enhance their knowledge in areas like network engineering, routing security, and internet exchange operations. Sessions are practical and based on real-world issues facing Nepal’s internet service providers.
Who Should Attend?
The program welcomes a broad range of participants. These include:
Network Engineers
System Engineers
IT Consultants
Government and NGO Technologists
IT and Engineering Students
Each participant will gain valuable skills and connections. The mix of local and international voices also ensures global exposure and shared learning.
NP-NOG’s Growing Legacy
This will be the 11th edition of the NP-NOG event series. The previous NP-NOG 10 was successfully held in Pokhara, where it received positive feedback from both attendees and industry leaders.
Now, Kathmandu will take center stage as it hosts this expanded edition with higher participation and deeper technical content.
Why It Matters?
Nepal’s internet infrastructure is growing rapidly. However, to keep pace with digital demands, the country needs well-trained professionals and strong inter-operator collaboration. NP-NOG 11 serves this need.
Workshops will help technicians understand the latest networking protocols. Tutorials will introduce trends like IPv6, DNS security, and open internet standards. The conference will explore broader policy and regulatory issues shaping the internet’s future in Nepal.
Final Thoughts
With technology becoming a part of everyday life, events like NP-NOG 11 are more essential than ever. They ensure that Nepal not only keeps up with global digital trends but also builds its sustainable internet ecosystem.
As registration opens, professionals, students, and organizations across Nepal are encouraged to take part. NP-NOG 11 is not just a conference—it is a milestone in Nepal’s digital journey.
