Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Biswo Nath Poudel & CNI Meet: Economic Revival & Banking Sector Reforms

The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has extended congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Prof. Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel.

A CNI delegation led by President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal met with Governor Poudel on Sunday to convey their congratulations and hold discussions on policy matters related to the country’s economy.
On the occasion, President Agrawal expressed confidence that the central bank would introduce important policy measures to address the economic challenges the country has faced over the past three years. He highlighted that a contraction in overall demand has led to economic difficulties and offered suggestions on revitalizing the economy and increasing the mobilization of investable funds available in banks.
In response, newly appointed Governor Poudel appreciated the CNI’s policy suggestions and informed that a task force has been formed to submit recommendations for overall improvement and strengthening of the banking sector.
The congratulatory visit and discussion were also attended by CNI Senior Vice President Birendra Raj Pandey, Vice Presidents Hem Raj Dhakal and Amit More, Director General Dr. Ghanshyam Ojha, among others.
