NTC 4G Service Manang

The company has established new BTS towers and launched 4G services in several geographically remote and challenging locations.

Key Highlights

4G in Tourist Hubs

In key tourist areas like Pisang (Ward No. 1), Ngawal (Ward No. 3), Tanki Manang (Ward No. 8), and Khangsar (Ward No. 9), the company upgraded the existing 2G service (previously on V-SAT technology) to 4G starting October 21, 2025. This upgrade was made possible by the activation of the Besisahar-Khangsar ADSS Link.

New BTS in Kotogaon

To address a poor network coverage complaint in Kotogaon, a village in Chame Rural Municipality-3, a new BTS tower was installed, and both 2G and 4G mobile services were launched on October 18, 2025.

4G Added to Talgaon

In Talgaon (Nasong Rural Municipality-1), where only 2G and 3G services were available, 4G was added and became operational on October 22, 2025. This new BTS also provides coverage to the Chamche area in the northern part of Lamjung district.

District-wide 4G Access

With these upgrades, Nepal Telecom’s 4G mobile service is now available in all of Manang’s rural municipalities except for Narphu. The villages of Nar and Phu, as well as Bhimthang Kothi in Nasong Rural Municipality, are currently served by V-SAT technology.

Future Plans

Nepal Telecom has also initiated the process to launch 4G mobile service at Tilicho Base Camp and Thorong Phedi in the near future.

Nepal Telecom remains committed to its mission of providing telecommunication services to remote areas, aiming to offer high-quality services to both local residents and tourists in these challenging regions.
