The government has asked for clarification to Kamini Rajbhanadari MD of Nepal Telecom.

For the second time Managing Director of Nepal Telecom, Kamini Rajbhandari has been asked for clarification. Earlier she was asked for clarification by cabinet because of allegedly failing to uplift the quality and revenue of NTC.

Based on her clarification Rajbhandari managed to save her position last time. Some of the online portals spread a hoax that the decision has already made. According to our reliable source, the deadline of 2 months was given for her to show her managerial work in the company.

Ineffectiveness in managing the company was not only the issue, but Rajbhandari was also accused of not taking proper decision in various projects including the most awaited 4G network service. Similarly, she has also been blamed for not being able to grow the competitiveness of the company.

The deadline for clarification submission has not been disclosed officially; some inform it to be 24 hours whereas, some says it is 72 hours. Likewise, there is also confusion on who has sent the letter; whether the Ministry (MOIC) or board of directors or the cabinet itself.

Rajbhandari was appointed as MD of NTC on September 22, 2016, for three years. Before NTC, she was associated with government-owned Telco as a Chief Technical Officer (CTO).  In 2042 B.S she joined telecom as an engineer and worked in various departments.

Rajbhandari has her historical achievement; she is the first female MD who came from open competition.
