With the exciting new announcement of a special scheme from the UK government, the future students of The British College (Thapathali) have the opportunity to work in the United Kingdom.

The UK has introduced a new scheme, “Graduate Route,” as an attempt to bring in some of the best, talented students from all around the world, including students from Nepal. This new graduate visa scheme will be open to all international students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or higher-level courses at an approved UK Higher Education provider. That includes the two leading UK universities that fall under the criteria and are currently running courses in partnership with The British College:  Leeds Beckett University (LBU) and The University of the West of England (UWE).

Thus, the students currently under the undergraduate courses will be able to transfer to the UK after completing one or two years of study. Additionally, the students who are graduates will be able to transfer for the Masters’s course in the UK and readily be eligible for two years work visa. Moreover, the students who can secure a more permanent job will be allowed to extend their work visa further. Students who continue to work in the UK on a work visa for five years will be eligible for permanent residency (indefinite leave to remail, ILR).

Although any international travel and work are proven difficult due to the Corona epidemic, the students signing up to study the undergraduate course at The British College will be allowed to transfer to the UK after one to two years of study.

The British College encourages the students to make an informed decision about their plans and firmly believes that the students to open up to such opportunity will prevail. The college provides world-class education, a degree awarded from a British University, and an amazing opportunity to work in the UK after graduation. So, for those who dream to work in the UK someday and are currently looking for a college, this very opportunity provided by The British College is perfect for you.

The British College students, specifically, BBA (Hons), BSC (Hons) Computing and BSC (Hons) Hospitality Business Management (BHM) students gain the most benefit from this new “Graduate Route” Scheme.
