Panda Free Antivirus

The 2016 version Panda anti-virus is a free take away, and although Panda is not the best outperforming anti-virus, it is way better than the other ranking commercial anti-virus tools.

There is no reason not to put an anti-virus for your device protection when the practical utility is for free. According to some reviews, the antivirus is not the same as last year. The previous background year was black with multi-colored buttons but this year’s edition contains a white background with buttons and panel in shades of blue.

According to the layout, the most prominent panel reflects the area where security statuses and statistics are shown, while the other panels let you scan devices and extends protection.
With the free edition, there is a trial for Mac and a free limited feature for Android devices.
The installation in this software is fast, but you might want to slow down a check for default settings before you rush into the installation process.
The Panda anti-virus takes a long time for a full standard scan around an hour and 10 minutes. On the virtual machine test system but the second time for the second scan, it takes about 32 minutes which is also slower compared to the average time. Comparatively, Trend Micro Anti-virus Security finishes in less than 3 mins.
The Panda surprisingly did well in malware detection and scores 8.8 points detecting 89% of the malware. The free version topped the world famous Kaspersky in malicious URL blocking test, and although, phishing protection of the Panda didn’t shine out that much it isn’t the tools primary mission. Therefore, Panda is the best of its commercial competitors which is not bad for a free product.
