The Pathibhara Devi Mukumlung Darshan Cable Car project in Taplejung has officially begun. The construction of the cable car, which will provide easier access to the famous Pathibhara Devi Temple, started today.

The project was inaugurated by Indra Kadem, the head of Himalaya Construction, who confirmed that work on the base station had already started.

Rudra Poudel, operator of the project, emphasized the significant benefits this initiative will bring to the region. He believes that once operational, the improved access will be a key driver of economic, social, and cultural development in Taplejung and the wider Koshi Province. He also noted that it would help promote tourism, create job opportunities, and contribute to overall regional growth.
Poudel also assured that within the next 15 months, visitors will be able to more easily reach the Pathibhara Devi Temple, making it more accessible for elderly people, children, and those with disabilities. The improved access will also help preserve the environment while fostering sustainable tourism.

The project aims to attract up to 1 million tourists annually once completed. With the ease of access, the number of visitors to Pathibhara Devi Temple is expected to rise significantly. This will help transform Taplejung into a top-tier tourism destination, offering world-class services and a modern tourism experience.
