This partnership is about fueling the dreams of young athletes and celebrating the grit that defines Nepali sports.
The Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament is Nepal’s premier domestic one-month competition, organized annually by the Cricket Association of Nepal. This high-profile tournament offers strong brand visibility through live broadcasts and post-match presentations with major awards, including motorcycles and cash prizes.
Yamaha’s journey in Nepal has always been driven by a passion for performance. From the high-octane energy of the football pitch with the Kathmandu Rayzrs to various youth-centric initiatives, Yamaha has consistently stood behind the talent that moves this country forward.
By joining forces with the PM Cup, Yamaha reinforces its commitment to the next generation of cricketers, aligning the brand’s “Kando” philosophy with the discipline and teamwork of the gentleman’s game.
To honor the standout performers who leave everything on the field, Yamaha is putting some serious skin in the game. This year, the stakes are higher than ever; The Best Bowler, Best Batsman, and Player of the Match in the tournament will each be awarded a Yamaha Saluto, honoring their skill, consistency, and standout performances on the field.
The tournament is set to be a true “people’s event,” spanning a full month across iconic venues including Birgunj, Janakpur, Upper Mulpani, and Lower Mulpani. Ten teams representing all seven provinces, alongside the powerhouse departmental teams (Nepal Police, Nepal Army, and APF), will battle for glory.
“We are pleased to have Yamaha as part of the PM Cup 2026,” said Paras Khadka, Secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal. “Such partnerships strengthen domestic cricket and motivate players to perform at their best.”
Chairman of MAW Group, Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, added, “We are proud to support a tournament that reflects the passion of Nepali youth. The PM Cup is a great platform to inspire growth and excellence through sports.”
Likewise, Mr. Deepak Agrawal, ED and CEO, said, “At Yamaha, we believe in the power of ambition. The PM Cup is a stage where legends are born, and we are thrilled to be the engine behind an event that brings so much joy and pride to the people of Nepal.”
As the engines rev and the first ball is bowled, Yamaha invites every fan across Nepal to join in the excitement of a tournament that promises to be bigger, faster, and more inspiring than ever before.
