PM Oli to Inaugurate 17th NADA Auto Show 2025: A Landmark Event for Nepal’s Automobile Sector

The 17th NADA Auto Show 2025, a highly anticipated event for the automobile industry in Nepal, is set to be inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The grand exhibition will take place from Bhadra 3 to 8, 2082 BS (August 19–24, 2025 AD) at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Centre in Kathmandu.
A high-level delegation from the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA), led by its President Karan Chaudhary, formally met with Prime Minister Oli to extend an invitation for him to grace the event as the chief guest and inaugurate the auto show.
Prime Minister Oli graciously accepted the invitation, a decision that has been met with enthusiasm and renewed motivation within the automobile entrepreneurial community.
During the meeting, President Chaudhary highlighted that NADA is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, making the 17th NADA Auto Show a particularly significant and celebratory event.
He emphasized NADA’s commitment to making this year’s auto show grander and more dynamic than ever before. The exhibition is expected to draw a large crowd, showcasing over 125 exhibitors and featuring more than 30 prominent vehicle brands.
A key focus of this year’s show will be on electric, hybrid, and smart mobility solutions, reflecting the global shift towards sustainable and technologically advanced transportation. In a nod to automotive heritage, the Vintage Motor Show will also be a major highlight, offering a unique blend of past and future.
Furthermore, President Chaudhary announced a groundbreaking feature for this year’s show: the first-time exhibition in Nepal of cutting-edge and future-oriented technologies.
These include UNITREE Robots, known for their advanced robotics, and the Deepal EVTO1 UAV, an innovative unmanned aerial vehicle. These exhibits are anticipated to be a central attraction, providing attendees with a glimpse into the future of mobility and automation.
The presence of the Prime Minister at the inauguration underscores the government’s recognition of the automobile sector’s crucial role in Nepal’s economic development and its commitment to fostering innovation within the industry.
This significant endorsement is expected to further invigorate the automotive market and encourage investments in new technologies.
The NADA delegation present at the meeting included Vice President Rajan Babu Shrestha, General Secretary Surendra Kumar Upreti, Secretary Bikram Singhania, Treasurer Milan Babu Malla, Joint Treasurer Pankaj Agrawal, and Central Committee Member Meghraj Paudel, all of whom expressed their excitement for the upcoming show.
The 17th NADA Auto Show 2025 promises to be a landmark event, not only for showcasing the latest automotive trends but also for driving discussions around sustainable mobility and technological advancements in Nepal.
