This initiative aims to support the development of entrepreneurs in the agriculture and tourism sectors, fostering job creation and economic growth within Bagmati Province.

The agreement was formalized through the signatures of Marcus Muller, representing USAID Trade & Competitiveness, and Ashok Sherchan, Chief Executive Officer of Prabhu Bank.

The collaboration focuses on enhancing the availability and accessibility of financial products and services tailored for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

By doing so, it seeks to promote sustainable job growth and generate income opportunities, particularly targeting those lagging in economic development within the agriculture and tourism industries.

“The goal of this partnership is to create a robust support system for MSMEs, which are vital to Nepal’s economic landscape.

By providing the necessary financial resources and support, we aim to empower entrepreneurs and drive sustainable development in the agro and tourism sectors,” said Ashok Sherchan, CEO of Prabhu Bank.

This agreement marks a significant step towards fostering economic inclusivity and sustainability, ensuring that even the most economically disadvantaged communities have the opportunity to thrive.
