Websites Found Inaccessible at Midnight
Around 11:30 PM on Thursday, both websites were found to be inaccessible. In contrast, websites of the Ministry of Home Affairs and other government agencies remain fully operational. The outage has raised suspicions as both key national offices appear to be completely taken down.
Speculation Amid Political Unrest
The timing of the shutdown has fueled speculation. Rumors of the king’s possible return under military leadership are spreading rapidly, further deepening confusion. It is still unclear whether the shutdown of the websites was a direct result of the Gen-Z protests or a deliberate action.
Websites Went Down After PM’s Resignation
Earlier this week, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli announced his resignation on Tuesday, yet his official website had remained functional until then. However, since midnight on Thursday, both the President’s Office and the Prime Minister’s Office websites have been completely offline.
Uncertainty Continues
With no official clarification on the matter, the sudden disappearance of two of the country’s most important government websites has only added to the existing state of unrest and speculation. Citizens and observers now await further updates from government authorities regarding the outage.
