The Presidential Innovista 2082, a tech and business carnival held in Kathmandu, concluded on Sunday, solidifying its place as a pivotal platform for emerging tech talent in Nepal.

Organized by the Presidential Graduate School in affiliation with Westcliff University, USA, the two-day event brought together around 170 BSc IT students who showcased an impressive 50 projects.
These innovations demonstrated significant technical prowess and promising commercial viability.
The event, inaugurated by Health Minister Dr. Pradip Paudel, began with a unique touch: an electric lamp was lit using a mobile app developed by the students, symbolizing the spirit of innovation that permeated the entire exhibition. The presence of other prominent personalities, including former ministers and leaders, underscored the event’s importance and the community’s support for technological advancement.

The projects on display were a testament to the students’ creativity and skill, covering a wide range of disciplines including AI, cybersecurity, software development, machine learning, robotics, and IoT. Other notable innovations included a sanitary pad vending machine, stock market prediction software, and various mobile games, showcasing the students’ versatility and problem-solving skills across diverse fields.

A key takeaway from the event is the organizers’ commitment to bridging the gap between student innovation and commercial success. According to them, there are concrete plans to continue this initiative annually and, more importantly, to connect students’ projects with potential investors.
