Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli recently issued a directive to improve the effectiveness and quality of services provided by Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (Nepal Telecom).

During a ceremony at Singha Durbar, where the telecom employees handed over a fund contribution to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that Nepal Telecom, as a valuable state-owned asset, must prioritize seamless service delivery for citizens. He instructed that there should be no compromises in service quality and assured governmental support for the necessary technological upgrades and equipment.

Reinforcing his vision for a robust and competitive Nepal Telecom, Prime Minister Oli encouraged the organization to uphold its reputation through continuous improvement. Recognizing the critical role of technology in a rapidly evolving market, he highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting Nepal Telecom’s modernization efforts.

During the event, attended by Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, and Secretary Radhika Aryal, Nepal Telecom’s Managing Director, Sangita Pahadi Aryal, officially transferred a detailed fund report. The report disclosed that a total of NPR 10.27 million had been collected by Nepal Telecom employees and donated towards disaster relief efforts.
