People, not computers, create computer threats. Computer hackers are unauthorized users who break into PC systems to steal, change or destroy the information and data. Anyone who uses a computer connected to the Internet is susceptible to the threats, and those computer predators victimize others for their gain.
There are many lessons to be learned from computer crashing, hacking, phishing or data breach in which hackers gains access to the user’s account name and password. The Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s accounts on sites including Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest appear to be hacked recently.
A hacker group called Our mine boasted that it had broken into a handful of his social media accounts. Engadget showed the screenshots of hacker’s notifying the breach of Mr. Zuckerberg’s mind.T he tweets shows, “Hey @finkd we got access to your Twitter & Instagram & Pinterest, we are just testing your security.”
The hackers team ‘OurMine’ claims they got Mr. Zuckerberg’s account passwords from a recent LinkedIn password dump. It appears that Mr. Zuckerberg used the same password for his Twitter and Pinterest accounts as his LinkedIn password.
If Mark Zuckerberg accounts can be hacked then who we are? It may seem simple to remember the same password for every account but following this simple rule can help us avoid the account takeover- Quit using the same password for multiple websites.
LinkedIn said that it had found and removed a fake profile that had been created by Mr. Zuckerberg. Back in 2012, around 100 million LinkedIn user’s password and username data were leaked online.LinkedIn has taken steps to invalidate passwords from older accounts, but the breach against Zuckerberg shows that some statements, especially those that are old or dormant, remain at risk.
So, we have to be very careful not to let anyone compromise our account. We are keeping a strong password, changing passwords frequently, i.e., within 90 days, not using the same password for multiple accounts and others. Safety is in our hand; using social sites can sometimes bring disaster.
