Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) is conducting a nationwide financial literacy campaign from March 17 to 23. The initiative, part of Global Money Week 2024, aims to educate over 10,000 citizens, including students, employees, farmers, and laborers, across Nepal.
RBB Financial Literacy Campaign
Under the theme “Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow,” RBB is organizing programs through its 294 branch offices and 72 extension counters. The campaign focuses on promoting digital banking, financial security, and responsible financial practices.
Key Activities:
The campaign covers several important topics:
Digital Banking: Benefits of QR codes, POS services, and internet banking.
Financial Security: Importance of PIN and password protection, OTP usage, and cybersecurity.
Remittance Services: Awareness of secure and efficient remittance transactions.
Savings and Loans: Encouraging responsible saving and borrowing habits.
RBB is also using social media platforms to share audio-visual educational content. Interactive sessions are being held at branch offices to engage directly with the community.
Global Money Week Initiative:
Global Money Week is a global campaign celebrated annually in March. Since 2012, it has been observed in over 176 countries to promote financial literacy among youth and adults. RBB has actively participated in this initiative for several years, organizing quarterly financial literacy programs.
RBB’s Commitment to Financial Inclusion:
With a network of 294 branches, 72 extension counters, 312 ATMs, and 99 branchless banking units, RBB is one of Nepal’s largest banks. The bank consistently works to enhance financial inclusion, especially in rural and underserved areas.
This year’s campaign is one of the largest in scale, targeting thousands of citizens across Nepal. RBB aims to empower people with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions.
