Redmi Note 9 5G has launched in China along with Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G. The new smartphones launched by Xiaomi will be available for purchase in the Chinese market from December 1. The international launch of the 3 new phones in the Redmi Note 9 series has not been announced yet.

Design and Display
Talking about its design this new 5G phone has a sleek and cool design that has a unique circular camera at the back. It sports a punch-hole design at the front. the phone has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection on both sides. Also, you shouldn’t worry about water splashes on the phone as it has an anti-splash coating.
The device comes in a 6.53” size screen and the display is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The display resolution is 1080 x 2400 pixels and the PPI density is 403 with a 60Hz refresh rate. Talking about the physical features this Redmi phone has 6.38 x 3.04 x 0.36 inches and weighs 199 g (7.02 oz). Redmi Note 9 5G is available in three colors Cloud Ink Gray, Flowing Shadow Purple, Castle Green.
Performance
The highlights of this phone are it’s performance, powered by the Density 800U, the Note 9 5G is a powerful device. This 7nm silicon from MediaTek consists of six efficient Cortex-A55 cores @2.0GHz and 2 high-performance Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz. It runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 skin on top and is supported by Mali-G57 MC3 for graphics.
For storage, it is available in three storage variants 6 RAM/128 GB, 8/128 GB, and 8GB/256GB, of a faster UFS 2.2 internal storage.
This new Redmi 5G phone features dual-5G mode which means it can standby 5G connectivity in both the SIMs. Also, Redmi has included a 360-degree antenna for optimum and clear signal reception.
Camera
Coming to the camera, the new Redmi 5G sports a triple rear camera setup including a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It can shoot videos on 40k at 30fps and on 1080p at 30/60fps.
At the front, the camera is located with the punch hole design on the top left corner. It has a 13MP, f/2.3 sensor and shoots videos in 1080p at 30fps.
Battery
This Remi 5G phone has a huge battery. It has a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery. The battery is comes with 18W fast charging via USB Type-C connection. You can get more than a day’s power from the 5000mAh cell.
Connectivity
For connectivity it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Infrared port connectivity. It also has a side-mounted Physical fingerprint scanner and other sensors such as accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass.
