Resilience: A Photography Fundraiser Event

Smile Nepal is presenting a three-day exhibition from April 23rd to 25th at Imago Dei Cafe Gallery from 10 AM to 8 PM.

The exhibition highlights the resilience of Nepalese during our toughest struggle in over 80 years by showcasing the talents of five photographers who have captured the unrelenting optimism of ordinary citizens amidst devastating and discouraging times.

As a result of the earthquake, destruction of buildings and monumental structures has been on an unprecedented scale.

However, the people of Nepal have been most shaken by the earthquake. In the face of such adversary, the Nepalese people have displayed immense strength and resilience. And while much of the rubble has been cleaned 25th April and 12th May have been etched in our memories.

Smile Nepal holds that we are still resilient still standing and standing beautifully for that matter that despite damages caused by the earthquake the people remain resolved to build back better and stronger.

Photographs by the following artists will be on display:
Mohan Duwal, Anmol Rajbhandari, Gambir Rajkarnikar, Sijal Bajracharya, and Ganesh Acharya.

The proceeds of the exhibition will be directed towards reconstructing ‘Smile Home’ the NGO’s rehabilitation center for underprivileged children in Arkhauli, Nuwakot.
