Roja Kiran Basukala has been awarded the National ICT Excellence Award 2022 (Women). On the occasion of National ICT Day, the government bestowed the National ICT Excellence Award of Rs 1 lakh in cash on Basukala.
Basukala has spent the last 15 years working in the field of information and communication technology in Nepal.
She has a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Institute of Engineering Studies in Pulchowk, as well as a master’s degree in information and communication engineering from the Institute of Information Technologies Advancement in South Korea.
She is now employed by the Nepal Telecommunication Authority as a Deputy Director & Founder /Vice President at the Center For Cyber Security Research and Innovation. In 2063 BS, she began her service in the field of information and communication technology.
