Samsung Unveils New Chipsets and Antenna for 5G Network

Samsung Electronics is a South Korean multinational electronics company. It was founded on the 13th of January, 1969 in South Korea.

Samsung unveiled a variety of 5G network solutions on Tuesday. It will allow mobile operators to built efficient  5G networks at an accelerated rate.

These include chipsets such as its third generation mmWave radio frequency integrated circuit(RFIC) chip.

Its second-generation 5G modem SoC, and its RFIC chip integrates a digital front end (DFE).

All three chipsets are smaller and more power-efficient than their prior generation offerings.

The chipsets will power Samsung’s updated 5G Compact Macro, the brand name for its mmWave 5G base station.

Not only that the chipsets will also support massive MIMO radios and baseband units that will commercially launch in 2022.

Samsung also unveiled a new radio designed to help mobile operators.

The new radio is designed to overcome the challenges mobile operatos face in deploying 5G networks.

The new One Antenna Radio features integrated antennas.
