Aimed at providing high-end features without the premium cost, they are available in global markets. The devices are designed for users who want advanced technology at an affordable price.
AI-Powered Features: “Awesome Intelligence”
For the first time, the Galaxy A series incorporates Samsung’s “Awesome Intelligence.” This feature brings AI-powered tools to improve camera performance, enhance search functions, and optimize everyday tasks. It allows users to enjoy smart functionalities once only available in high-end models. Samsung aims to make these capabilities accessible to a broader audience, improving the overall user experience.
Design and Build Quality
The Galaxy A-series models are built to feel premium. Despite using plastic frames, the devices feature Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on both the front and back, offering a premium glass-like experience. The phones also sport slim designs, with all three models measuring under 8mm thick.
Display and Performance
All three devices feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsive performance. The Galaxy A36 5G and A56 5G can reach a peak brightness of 1,200 nits, making them easily readable in bright sunlight. The A26 5G also enjoys a newly slimmed-down bezel for a sleeker design.
Camera Features and Capabilities
Samsung has focused heavily on camera performance, with all three models offering a 50MP main lens. The A56 5G boasts a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while the A36 5G has an 8MP version. All devices feature AI tools, such as Object Eraser for removing unwanted objects from photos and custom filters for personalized image styling. The A56 5G also introduces advanced Nightography for low-light photography and the Best Face feature for better group photos.
Battery and Charging
The three phones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting use. The Galaxy A36 5G and A56 5G support 45W fast charging, capable of charging the device to 70% in under 30 minutes. However, users must purchase a compatible charger separately.
Software Updates and Longevity
Samsung promises a long-lasting experience with up to six years of Android OS updates and security patches for these devices. The A56 5G and A36 5G come with Android 15 and One UI 7, ensuring longevity and ongoing improvements.
Availability and Pricing
The Galaxy A36 5G is the first to be released, starting sales on March 26, followed by the A26 5G on March 28 in the US. The A56 5G will arrive later in the year. With its combination of AI features, robust build, and long-term support, the new Galaxy A series aims to provide a high-end smartphone experience at an affordable price.
