Sanima Bank has joined the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) and has committed to disclose its climate-related impact from its financing and investing activities.
The PCAF is a collaboration between financial institutions worldwide to enable harmonized assessments and disclosures of greenhouse gas emissions financed by loans and investments. With more than 300 financial institutions from six continents, the PCAF is rapidly expanding in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Asia-Pacific.
Nischal Raj Pandey, CEO at Sanima Bank said that this partnership will enable Sanima to quantify its climate impact utilizing harmonized and internationally accepted methodology in an attempt to further streamline the banks sustainable financing activities.
Sanima Bank is providing services from 129 offices and 122 ATM networks in 7 provinces of Nepal.
