Sanima GIC Insurance Limited has extended educational support to a government school in Karnali Province. Under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, the company provided materials worth NPR 2,12,000 to Shree Janjyoti Secondary School, located in Panchapuri Municipality-10, Surkhet.

The distribution took place on Asar 19(July 3), where the school received essential learning and hygiene items, including three desktop computers, two drinking water drums, 500 notebooks, 500 dot pens, and 500 water bottles.
Commitment To Education And Community
Sanima GIC Insurance organized the handover program to enhance digital learning and student well-being. The company said that supporting local schools is a priority in its CSR policy. The initiative aimed to improve access to resources for students in rural areas, especially in the Karnali region.
The program was conducted in collaboration with the Nepal Insurance Authority’s Karnali Provincial Office. Together, they ensured that the materials were handed over directly to school representatives in a transparent and meaningful way.

Leaders from both the government and private sectors participated in the event. Panchapuri Municipality Mayor Lalbir Bhandari joined the handover ceremony. He praised the role of private institutions in uplifting rural education. He emphasized the importance of digital tools for 21st-century learning, especially in remote parts of Nepal.
Also present was School Principal Krishna Raj Dhakal, who expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the school. He said the support was timely and much needed. “These materials will improve the learning experience and hygiene of our students,” he noted.
The principal explained that the computers would be used for classroom learning, while the other items would be distributed among students to encourage regular attendance and participation.
Enhancing Digital Literacy And Hygiene
The three desktop computers are expected to support the school’s digital literacy program, helping students become familiar with basic computer skills. In addition, the notebooks and pens will benefit children who often lack basic school supplies.
The donation also addressed hygiene and drinking water needs. The two water drums and 500 water bottles will ensure safer and cleaner drinking options for students during school hours. The school has already started preparing to use the items immediately.
