Shikhar Insurance has officially launched a new health insurance plan named “Shikhar Swasthya Suraksha”. The formal inauguration of this plan was conducted on 2nd Bhadra 2082 (August 18, 2025) at Mediciti Hospital during a special program.
Shikhar Swasthya Suraksha
This health insurance plan covers both individuals and all family members, providing coverage of up to NPR 20 Lakhs. While the current health insurance services in Nepal are limited to smaller coverage amounts, Shikhar Swasthya Suraksha allows coverage up to NPR 20 Lakhs, making it a highly reliable option to address the rising healthcare expenses in the country.
Under this plan, insured members can avail cashless health services at reputed hospitals affiliated with Shikhar Insurance when admitted for treatment. Additionally, the policy covers 10% of the insured amount (up to NPR 1 Lakh) for outpatient treatments.
With the cashless facility, insured members do not need to settle hospital bills themselves; instead, Shikhar Insurance will directly make claim payments to the hospitals, ensuring hassle-free healthcare services for policyholders.
The policy also provides coverage for 30 days of pre-hospitalization expenses and 60 days of post-hospitalization expenses related to admitted treatments. More than 150 daycare procedures not requiring hospitalization are also covered. Furthermore, treatment expenses for newborn babies requiring hospital admission are included under the plan.
In addition, Shikhar Swasthya Suraksha offers a No-Claim Bonus during policy renewal if no claims are made, allowing policyholders to benefit from the plan in the long run.
This insurance service is available not only to Nepali citizens residing in Nepal but also to foreign nationals living in Nepal.
