On Kartik 30, CAN held a formal event to announce Siddharth Bank Limited as the title sponsor for the NPL. The occasion was graced by CAN officials, the Chairman of Siddharth Bank’s Board of Directors, Manoj Kumar Kedia, members of the Board, the bank’s CEO Sundar Prasad Kadel, the management team, and executives from the bank’s sister institutions.

The inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League, under the new sponsorship agreement, will take place from Mangsir 15 to Poush 6, 2024, at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Aiming to Elevate Nepalese Cricket

Siddharth Bank Chairman, Manoj Kumar Kedia, expressed his optimism about the partnership, emphasizing the bank’s goal of taking Nepalese cricket to new heights. He highlighted that this sponsorship will not only boost the sport but also contribute positively to the country’s economic and social development.

CEO Sundar Prasad Kadel also delivered remarks during the announcement, stating that the collaboration with the NPL is a strategic move by Siddharth Bank to uplift cricket in Nepal. He emphasized that cricket’s growing popularity across all age groups has transcended the game itself, becoming a powerful source of national pride.

Fostering Growth and Competitive Spirit

The bank’s commitment to a five-year sponsorship underscores the belief that supporting the NPL will significantly aid the development of cricket in Nepal. The partnership is expected to provide local players with valuable opportunities to gain competitive experience, enhancing their skills and preparing them for international challenges.

As cricket continues to capture the hearts of Nepalese people, Siddharth Bank aims to strengthen the sport’s foundation and inspire the next generation of athletes, ultimately contributing to the nation’s sporting legacy.
