Cyber Security and Smart Board Knowledge Sharing Program Bolsters Digital Defenses in Nepalese Organizations
The “Cyber Security Capacity Building (Data Protection practices in Nepalese organizations) and Smart Board Knowledge Sharing Program” was successfully held in Sindhuli.
Sindhuli Cyber Security Program
This significant event was organized by the CAN Federation District Chapter Sindhuli, in collaboration with Kamalamai Municipality and Shrestha Computer Traders Sindhuli.
The program was presided over by the President of CAN Federation District Chapter Sindhuli, Mr. Premnath Mainali. The Senior Vice-President of the CAN Federation, Mr. Chiranjibi Adhikari, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The keynote session was led by Mr. Chiranjibi Adhikari, Senior Vice President of CAN Federation and CEO of One Cover Private Limited. He provided a critical look at the current state of cybersecurity in Nepal:
Growing Cyber Threats: Mr. Adhikari highlighted various real-world cybercrime cases in Nepal, detailing the methods and strategies employed by cybercriminals.
Urgent Need for Protection: He stressed the growing risks and the immediate need for proactive measures to safeguard individuals, organizations, and government systems. The examples shared clearly demonstrated the devastating impact of cybercrime on businesses and public institutions.
Awareness as a Defense: Mr. Adhikari emphasized that educating the public and raising awareness are the most effective strategies for securing Nepal’s digital future.
Complementing this, Mr. Rajan Prajuli, Pen Tester Engineer of One Cover Private Limited, shared technical and actionable insights:
Penetration Testing: Mr. Prajuli elaborated on the technical aspects of penetration testing.
Practical Defense Strategies: He shared practical cybersecurity practices that Nepalese organizations can adopt to significantly strengthen their digital defenses.
The combined presentation provided participants with essential knowledge and concrete strategies to effectively combat cybercrime.
