Sony has announced a new Sony SmartWatch 3 SWR 50 on February 2014 and released it on October of the same year. The smartwatch has got a 1.6″ TFT capacities touchscreen with 65K colors combination that comes with 320 x 320 pixels approximately 283 PPI display technology and has reached the screen to body ratio of 45.0%.
The dimension of this model is 51 x 36 x 10 mm (2.01 x 1.42 x 0.39 in) and weighs about 76 grams among which the watch body only weighs 38 rams. This watch is built with stainless steel with a silver or gold finishing and is dust and water resistant up to 1.5 meters and 30 minutes time limit and also is IP68 certified. This gear supports multi touch. It doesn’t support cellular network as it does not support sim card. The strap comes in classic stainless steal chain-link and optional sleek leather.
The watch is compatible with Android Wear OS and supports the phone with Android v4.3 and later. It doesn’t contain an external memory slot. The CPU used is Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 and the chipset used is Quad Arm A7. It has got 4 GB eMMC storage and comes up with a 1GB RAM. It does not contain an external memory card slot. This gear has gained a loudspeaker. The sensors available in this watch are gyro, accelerometer, ambient light and compass sensors.
The Bluetooth technology used is Bluetooth v4.0 LE, and it comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and NFC connectivity systems. GPS technology is available, but Radio is not present. The USB used is micro USB technology. The battery used in this model is nonremovable Li-Po 420 mAh and has the battery life up to 48 hours talk time and can give up to 96 hours standby. One can check whether, play music, measure his heartbeat and many more functions. The color available is leather black, leather brown, silver, yellow and black and it costs around £170.
