During the program, more than 700 plants of over 20 different species, including fruit-bearing, flowering, and shade-giving trees, were planted. The campaign aimed to promote greenery, conserve biodiversity, and contribute positively to environmental sustainability, with the belief that it would help maintain long-term environmental balance.

The formal inauguration of the tree plantation was jointly done by the bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gorakh Rana, Deputy CEO Sarvendra Mishra, and the school’s vice-principal Pemba Chiring Sherpa. On this occasion, they also took part in inspecting, cleaning, and protecting the trees planted in previous years.

The bank has been conducting various green activities every year on Environment Day. This year’s campaign included not only tree planting but also dialogues and cleaning activities to raise environmental awareness among employees.
