Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has called upon officials to prioritize projects of national importance while submitting proposals for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

During separate discussions with officials from the Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Minister Paudel highlighted the significance of selecting mega-projects that align with the roles and responsibilities of provincial and local governments.

The Finance Minister emphasized that the federal government should not undertake projects that fall within the jurisdiction of provincial and local governments. He asserted that true federalism can only be strengthened when responsibilities and rights are effectively transferred to the lower levels of government.
