Sundar Yatayat Company is preparing to import an electric bus from China. There will be a total of nine electric buses brought to Kathmandu.

The buses have already been prepared in China, according to Bhes Bahadur Thapa, chairman of Sundar Yatayat, and are being prepared to be brought to Nepal.

Nine buses with a total seating capacity of 40 are being prepared. Sundar Yatayat decided to buy 25 buses for Rs 1.72 crore after the government promoted the use of electric buses. In the first phase, nine buses will be brought.

Sundar Yatayat is also planning to run these electric buses in Chitwan.
