Nepal’s newly appointed Prime Minister Sushila Karki officially assumed office today at 11 a.m. in Singha Durbar, according to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

The interim government leader began her tenure by taking charge of a special program held at the Prime Minister’s Office. Officials confirmed that the new administrative setup will temporarily be operated from the newly built Home Ministry building inside Singha Durbar.
Prime Minister Karki to Operate Office from Home Ministry Building
Due to damage sustained at the official residence in Baluwatar during recent protests, PM Karki has been residing in her private home. As a result, the government has arranged for her to run the Prime Minister’s Office from the new Home Ministry complex until further notice.
