Japanese motorcycle giant Suzuki is on the verge of launching its highly anticipated electric scooter, the e-Access, marking its official entry into the burgeoning EV market.

Aimed at the premium segment, the e-Access is poised to challenge established players like the Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube, promising a blend of modern design, impressive features, and reliable performance.

First unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025 in India, the Suzuki e-Access generated significant buzz with its sleek and futuristic design. The company has now confirmed that the scooter is in the final stages of preparation for a September launch.

This timing is strategic, allowing Suzuki to capitalize on the festive season demand and firmly establish its presence in the competitive Indian market.

Following its debut in India, the e-Access is also slated for a timely launch in Nepal, catering to the growing demand for electric mobility in the region.

From a design perspective, the e-Access embodies a sophisticated aesthetic that sets it apart. It features an attractive and modern body, characterized by clean lines and a premium finish. The front fascia is dominated by a futuristic LED headlight that provides excellent illumination and a distinctive look.

At the rear, a stylish tail light complements the overall design. The scooter rides on smart-looking alloy wheels, which not only enhance its visual appeal but also contribute to a stable and comfortable ride.

The flat footwell and a long, wide seat are designed for maximum rider comfort, making it suitable for both daily commutes and longer journeys.

Beyond its looks, the Suzuki e-Access is packed with features designed to appeal to the tech-savvy urban commuter. A key highlight is the full-color TFT instrument cluster, which provides riders with essential information such as speed, battery status, and range in a clear and easy-to-read format.

The spacious under-seat storage is another practical feature, offering enough room to comfortably store a helmet or a bag of groceries. These features collectively make the e-Access a compelling package that combines style with utility.

The heart of the Suzuki e-Access is its powerful and efficient electric powertrain. It is equipped with a 3.07 kWh battery pack, which is expected to deliver a claimed range of 95 km on a single full charge.

This range is more than sufficient for most daily commutes within city limits. Powering the scooter is a robust 4.1 kW motor, allowing it to reach a top speed of 71 km/h.

This performance places it squarely in the premium segment, where riders expect a balance of quick acceleration and a decent top speed for navigating urban traffic.

When it comes to the competition, the Suzuki e-Access will face a formidable lineup of rivals. Its main contenders will be the highly popular Bajaj Chetak and the TVS iQube, both of which have already carved out a significant market share.

The e-Access will also compete with other established players like the Honda e-Activa, as well as the new-age electric scooters from Ola and Ather.

The Bajaj Chetak is known for its iconic retro design and robust build quality, while the TVS iQube has gained popularity for its feature-rich package and smart connectivity options.

The e-Access will need to leverage its Japanese engineering, reliability, and unique design to stand out. Its competitive features and performance metrics suggest that it is well-prepared to take on these rivals head-on.

The launch of the Suzuki e-Access signifies a major step for the company in its global transition towards electric mobility. With its blend of attractive design, advanced features, and a competitive performance package, the e-Access is poised to become a significant player in the electric scooter market.

As the countdown to its September launch begins, the question on every EV enthusiast’s mind is whether this new challenger can shake up the market and redefine the electric scooter experience in India and beyond.
