CG Motocorp, the authorized distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Nepal, has offered a sneak peek of the highly anticipated SUV ahead of its grand public debut at the NADA Auto Show 2025. This marks Suzuki’s official entry into Nepal’s rapidly expanding all-electric SUV segment, a move that signals the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

The Suzuki eVitara is poised to compete with established and upcoming rivals like the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and Mahindra BE 6. Its strategic unveiling at Nepal’s largest automotive exhibition, the NADA Auto Show, underscores the importance of the Nepalese market for Suzuki’s global EV strategy.

The eVitara is not merely a new model; it’s a statement of intent, bringing a blend of Suzuki’s renowned reliability with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.

Performance and Powertrain Options

While the final specifications for the Nepalese market are yet to be confirmed, the eVitara will be offered with two distinct battery and powertrain options in India. The first variant features a 49 kWh battery paired with a front-mounted motor, producing a respectable 144 hp and 189 Nm of torque.

This configuration is expected to cater to urban commuters and those seeking an efficient and reliable electric SUV.For drivers demanding more power and range, the second option offers a larger 61 kWh battery. This version delivers a significant boost in performance, with an output of 174 hp and the same 189 Nm of torque.

Crucially, this model is projected to provide a real-world range of over 500 km (MIDC) on a single charge, making it ideal for long-distance travel and eliminating range anxiety for many potential buyers. In a bid to cater to varied needs, an all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant is also available, which adds a 65 hp rear motor, boosting the combined output to an impressive 184 hp and 300 Nm of torque, offering enhanced grip and performance on diverse terrains.

A Modern and Feature-Rich Interior

Step inside the Suzuki eVitara, and you are greeted by a cabin designed for modern functionality and comfort. The interior is highlighted by a twin-deck floating center console, creating a sense of spaciousness. Premium soft-touch materials and ambient lighting add to the luxurious feel.

At the heart of the dashboard is a large 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a complementary 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster, providing a futuristic and intuitive interface for the driver.Connectivity is seamless with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a premium Harman audio system promises an immersive sound experience.

The focus on passenger comfort is evident with features like ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and reclining/sliding rear seats with a 40:20:40 split, offering remarkable flexibility for both passengers and luggage.

Uncompromising Safety and Dimensions

Safety has been a top priority in the design of the eVitara. The SUV is built with over 50% high-tensile steel, ensuring a rigid and protective chassis. It comes equipped with seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag, providing comprehensive protection in the event of a collision.

Furthermore, the eVitara features Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes advanced safety features like lane assist and autonomous emergency braking. Standard safety kit includes all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake (EPB), a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an emergency call system (e-Call).

With its dimensions of 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height, and a 2,700 mm wheelbase, the eVitara fits perfectly into the midsize SUV category.

Its official launch and pricing details are expected to be announced at the NADA Auto Show 2025, which will be held at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu, from August 19 to 24. The eVitara’s entry is expected to intensify the competition and drive innovation, benefiting Nepalese consumers and accelerating the country’s transition to a greener, more sustainable future.
