Technology Enhanced Learning On Rural Areas

A four-day refresher training for thirteen primary schools from Phase II of Bajhang Laptop Program was smoothly completed.

Refresher training is part of our three stage training program which is usually conducted four to six months after the launch of the program in school. The main objectives of the program were to reinforce critical concepts and skills about teaching-learning methodologies of the laptop integrated teaching-learning program. Besides this, the training also provided a common platform for the teachers to share and clear various issues and challenges encountered while conducting technology combined classes.

Ole Nepal technical team also updated the new learning contents on school servers. Bal Pathmala, a collection of pictorial books primarily for the primary level is available both in Nepali and English languages. It was developed to help children start their reading habits with read-aloud books helping them enjoy reading, independently.

Mr. Ambika Prasad Regmi, Chief of Department of Education’s Education & Technology Promotion Section, Mr. Surya Bahadur Singh, District Education Officer, and other government officials from Bajhang observed the training and encouraged teachers to make the best use of technology integrated classes.
