This pioneering Texas Aircraft Flight Test, held at Jarshing Pauwa, signifies a major step forward in practical education and innovation within Nepal’s tech landscape.
The innovative program, designed to provide hands-on experience in aerospace technology, was officially inaugurated by Mr. Ramesh Napit, Mayor of Shankharapur Municipality, and Deputy Mayor Ms. Samita Shrestha. Their honored presence underscored the community’s support for educational initiatives that push the boundaries of traditional learning in Nepal.
Rigorous Training Paves the Way for Flight Success
Before taking to the skies for the aircraft flight test, the ambitious BIT students underwent an intensive training regimen. This included 30 hours of comprehensive theoretical instruction, providing a strong foundation in aeronautical principles. Following this, they completed an additional 30 hours of practical, hands-on training in a dedicated laboratory setting, accumulating a total of 60 hours of specialized preparation. This rigorous curriculum ensured students were well-equipped with both the knowledge and skills necessary for the successful trial flight.
Beyond Aviation: IoT and Robotics Innovation Hub at Texas College
The students’ achievements extend beyond aeronautics. During their training period, these talented BIT freshmen also developed an impressive portfolio of 15 projects focused on the cutting-edge fields of Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotics. These projects demonstrate their diverse skill set and commitment to exploring various facets of modern technology and innovation.
Texas College Management has proudly announced that these innovative IoT and Robotics projects will be showcased to the public on Shrawan 23 at the Texas College premises.
