The new MacBook Air 11″ model is a lighter, portable and comes up with an amazingly high-resolution display. Apple has released its two models of Mac book Air one 11 inches, and the other is 13 inches. It is made up of the full Aluminium unibody design.

The 11″ model has the dimensions of 11.8 x 7.56 x 0.11-0.68 inches (30 x 19.2 x 0.3-1.7 cms) and weighs about 2.38lbs approximately 1.08 kg. It comes up with the Mac OS X El Captain operating system which is very easy to use.

The display is 11.6 inches LED-backlit glossy widescreen display that supports millions of colors. It helps the resolutions of 1336×768 pixels native, 1280×720 pixels at an aspect of 16:9, 1152×720 and 1024×640 pixels at an aspect ratio of 16:10; and 1024×768 and 800×600 pixels at the aspect ratio of 4:3. It consists of a 128 Gb PCIe based flash storage which is configurable to 512 GB flash storage.

The processor is made of 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 2.7 GHz with 3MB shared L3 cache that can be configured up to 2.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core i7 Turbo Boost up to 3.2 GHz with 4MB shared L3 cache memory. It consists of 4GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 RAM which can be configured up to 8Gb.

The battery is built-in 38Whr Li-polymer battery that comes up with a 45W MagSafe Power Adapter with Cable management and a MagSafe 2 Power port. The battery life gives up to 9 hrs wireless web, up to 30 days standby time and up to 10 hours iTunes movie playback. The graphics used is Intel HD Graphics 6000 dual display and video monitoring.

It has got a 720p FaceTime HD camera. The ports available are two USB 3 ports that could transfer files up to 5 Gbps, a Thunderbolt 2 port that gives an up to 20 Gbps and MagSafe 2 power port, a 3.55mm headphone and dual mics. The WLAN technology used is 802.11ac Wi-Fi wireless networking, Bluetooth v4.0 wireless technology and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compatible.

It comprises of a Full-size backlit keyboard with 78(US) or 79 (ISO) keys that includes 12 function keys and four arrow keys with an ambient light sensor. The multitouch trackpad for accurate cursor control supports pinch, inertial scrolling, rotate, swipe, three finger swipe, for finger swipe, drag, tap, and double tap capabilities.
