Tihar is celebrated worldwide and symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. It is a time for joy, prosperity, and togetherness all over the world. However, in Nepal, Tihar signifies the importance of family, nature, animals, oneself, and harmonious coexistence in society. People believe that good luck comes with this celebration.

Tihar not only honors elders and family but also respects oneself. During Tihar, homes, temples, and workplaces are cleaned and illuminated with diyas, candles, and marigold flowers.

Tihar also celebrates the special bond between siblings. During this time, makhmali flower garland is used as it is believed that makhamali never wilts and withers. This also carries significance in that it symbolizes a strong and enduring relationship between siblings.

TikTok is a global platform that allows users to create and share high-quality videos. Its mission is to make joy accessible to everyone, and it empowers users to express themselves freely, explore new interests, and connect with people from around the world.
